(F5 User):
Along the lines of allowing agents to be just for companies… it would be good to be able to also limit certain of the standard agents based on filtering criteria as well.
So, an example is again Cisco…
Some of the standard agents I would still want to get everything on, such as acquisitions, cost cuttings, etc… but others, such as new offerings, litigation, and partnerships I might just want items that had the term ACE in them somewhere.
Also, along those lines, for someone like Cisco I might not want to get all the standard agents since there would be so much noise… things like Real Estate might not be worth getting at all for them, however for a different company, or a different watchlist, I would want to see all of them.
Finally, the ability in the agents to use more complex logic would be great! I know that it can either AND everything, or OR everything (match all, match any), but I would really like more control. (for example, in order of it’s importance to me)
- The ability to say something like “match “ACE” AND (“ADC” OR “Load Balancer”)
- The ability to require matching case. (so, match “ACE” but not “ace”, or “Edge”, but not “edge”), this can help in filtering out products from words.
- The ability to use a full regex string (this would allow me to be really flexible on how I wanted to match things if I wanted to take the time to create it.

This request comes from SilverPop users. A Sr. Regional Sales Mgr commented that for her to leverage InsideView for territory planning, she would have to break each reps territory down several times to get this info she needs for 1 Rep's Territory. This is just not efficient.
Managers are trying to work out territories, and limiting them to exporting just 2000 records is unrealistic, b/c they have to break the territories down several times, export each and then re-consolidate. This is a productivity hit.
In this case - selecting criteria included:
- Regional areas - since that was too large she went with "state by state"
- revenue of $5m - $500m - even breaking down to $5m - $250m still is over the 2000 limit
- Employee count from 50 - 1,000
It would be great if we could assign those identified with Territory Planning responsibilities a way to leverage higher limit levels...
Would like to see additional info from CRM system (SFDC, specifically), when importing a contact. Currently only the account name is provided when there are multiple matches. With large companies operating worldwide, it is hard to know which account to select when the account name is the same. Would like to see Billing City or Billing Country added. For example:
Create contact under which CRM account?
ABC Company (St. Louis, United States)
ABC Company (Paris, France)
Feedback from a Senior Partner at Franklin Covey - Sales Performance Unit whom has submitted several surveys in past at 10 ratings"
Praise:
"Yes, I think the Following People is a great addition to the service.
Suggestion:
Now you need to link up “Board Relationships” between existing customers and prospects, that would be a killer addition."
"monitor job role promotions and send alerts based on job title (at a more granular level)" and .."when changing positions/companies"
Summary Idea:
Please consider linking Board and People of the InsideView users own company - automatically to see Board Relationships linking between their Customer References and Prospects.
Would be great to be able to show only companies or contacts (from list building) that only my CEO, VP Sales, etc has personal connections into as opposed to the entire team.
It would be helpful to have a Last Updated/Verified Date on the company and contact records in InsideView. This date would indicate when the data was last updated or verified as current (e.g. It was fully reviewed and no changes were found). This in combination with the source list, can better help a user understand how accurate or out of date the information may be.
It would also be great if these fields were also available when building lists, or when searching for contacts on the people tab of a company.
Additionally, if possible understanding when a company, it's family tree, and all of it's related people was last reviewed would be helpful as well. To clarify, this would represent when the high level family tree and overall list of people under a company was reviewed and determined to still be affiliated with that company, versus when the last time a specific record was updated. Think of it as verifying the structure, the who and possibly the titles/departments, versus all of the other tid-bits about a person. This may not be possible, but if it could provide insight as to how current or old the people under that company may be, before going into each one.
When installing the InsideView Solution package for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, the InsideView IFRAME (a.k.a. mashup) is only published to the main information (default) form. If you have created any custom forms, you have to add the IFRAME to them manually through a somewhat convoluted process. The ability to publish the IFRAME to custom forms for any supported entity would be very beneficial!
We have a customer (Compuware) who has made a suggestion to enhance Territory Management.
Would like to see InsideView integrated with Microsoft MapPoint to enhance building out territories. He would like to be able to look at the North America sales territories and visually overlay our target prospects on to a map.
Why?
He's trying to determine proper location of field sales resources and want to map their current customers to market data. This will help me balance geographical coverage and spot any gaps.
NOTE: I've heard this from another customer (Graybar) who knows that if a rep is mapped to a supplier account that is > 30 miles away, sales will be lower than those accounts being covered <30 miles away. In their territory planning, they make sure the reps are close to the suppliers they are trying to do business with to maximize sales and relationships.
It would be great to see the last updates done to records in the system. Example would be when an employee count changes in the application, or when a company gets moved into a family tree due to an acquisition. This would provide several benefits but would also allow teams to resolve conflicts under Rules of Engagement for accounts.

How great would it be to get SWAT analysis - and not just modifying SmartAgents to "act" like SWOT alerts. It could even be a "Top 5" type of list that as I look at an account / contact - there are the Top 5 things going on there/with them. EX:
Top5
1 - New CEO
2 - New Product Launch
3 - Missed Earnings
4 - Moved offices
5 - Negative Press Article
What would be even more useful is if the users could prioritize these things and the community could tell you whats BUZZING at this company or what they're hearing.

One thing that I really like about iGoogle is that I can choose what is on the page and where it is located. I'd love to see a redesign of the my.insideview.com Home page. This would make it more useful for me to not only manage my watchlist and build lists, but to be able to get things like - alerts for a geographic territory (because often times it is the account you don't already have identified that can make the difference), People alerts, Industry news, etc.
It would be cool if we can create a custom agent and map them to specific Watchlists.
For instance I am tracking all UK Constituencies in a Watchlist and would like to generate a custom agent with keyword "Member of Parliament". If I get the option of mapping this agent only to Watchlist which contains Constituencies that would help me to track them easily.
